Terms of Service
Last updated: June 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Secure The Vibe("Secure The Vibe," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of the Secure The Vibe website, scanner, dashboard, API, MCP server, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Secure The Vibe is an automated security-scanning tool. It sends ordinary, unauthenticated requests to a target you submit and inspects the public responses (or the public files of a code repository) for common security misconfigurations, then reports a graded result and suggested fixes. The Service is informational and automated; please read our Scan Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms.
2. Free access & no charge
The Service is currently offered free of charge. No payment or payment method is required, and prices shown for future plans are not yet in effect. The Service is provided on an early-access basis and may be incomplete or unreliable.
Free access is provided at our sole discretion and is not permanent. We may, at any time and without committing to any particular end date: place or change limits on free accounts (including the number of scans, available features, monitoring, or how long we retain your data); and expire, downgrade, suspend, close, or stop offering free accounts or the free tier entirely. We may also add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any feature (or the entire Service) at any time, with or without notice. You are not guaranteed continued access to the Service or to any free features.
We will not charge you without your consent. If we introduce paid plans, we will give you the choice to accept the new terms and provide a payment method before any charge applies. If the free tier ends or your free account expires and you do not move to a paid plan, your access and any data associated with your account may be limited, suspended, or deleted.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access credentials and API keys secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use & authorization
You may only scan websites, applications, and repositories that you own or are expressly authorized to test. Scanning or probing systems without permission may violate computer crime, anti-hacking, and other laws, and is strictly prohibited. You agree not to:
- Submit any target you do not own or have written permission to test;
- Use the Service to attack, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
- Use results to exploit a vulnerability on any system you do not control;
- Resell, scrape, or build a competing dataset/service from the Service without our written consent;
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or the SSRF/private-network protections built into the Service;
- Violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
You are solely responsible for confirming you have authorization for every target you submit, and you accept all liability arising from scans you initiate.
5. Your content
"Your Content" means the targets (URLs, repositories) you submit and the data we generate from scanning them. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights and authorization necessary to submit it.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, checks, scoring, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Secure The Vibe and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Third-party services
The Service queries third-party sources (for example, the OSV.dev vulnerability database and GitHub) and the targets you submit. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL RESULTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED. We do not warrant that the Service will find all vulnerabilities or that its findings are free of error. See the Scan Disclaimer.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURE THE VIBE AND ITS OPERATORS, OWNERS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY SECURITY BREACH OR DOWNTIME, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH, DURING THE FREE BETA, IS USD $0) OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Secure The Vibe and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your submission of any target, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including any scan you run without authorization.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, including for any violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where prohibited by applicable law.
